Cloud Leads Opponent in Grassroots Financial Support

Cloud 's "Clean House" Approach Resonates with Voters as He Outraises Primary Opponent in Individual Donations

TACOMA, WA - The Cloud for U.S. Congress Campaign today announced they have outraised their Republican opponent in the primary race for Washington's 6th Congressional District Seat in both overall funds and individual donations.

"We're so happy to see this strong showing of support at the grassroots level," said Chris Caillier, Campaign Manager for the Doug Cloud for U.S. Congress Campaign.  "This success means our message of fiscal responsibility, cleaning the corruption out of Congress, and lower taxes and free market enterprise to build sustainable jobs, is really resonating with voters.  The people of the 6th District of Washington are ready for a change and this just shows they are willing to put their money where their mouths are."

The most recent reports from the Federal Election Commission show the Cloud Campaign has raised $24,465 in individual contributions compared to their Primary race opponent's $8,309.  Overall, the Cloud Campaign has raised $39,221 to their Primary race opponent's $28,309.

"This grassroots support gives our campaign a lot of steam and momentum going into the home stretch of this primary race," said Doug Cloud.  "The voters of Washington's 6th District are hungry for independent thinking and "clean" representation.  This strong showing of support confirms to me that my focus on cleaning up the corruption in Congress and rejuvenating our local economy is right on target.  We simply can't afford more of the same."

  1. Since it is your 4th time running against Norm, I would excpect that you could raise more than Young. But for you to only raise about $10K more is nothing I would brag about. You have 4 elections under your belt, Young has 4 months. putting it that perspective, looks like you are still behind. Good Luck in the elections.
